Default 84 EZGO Problems

Allright guys, I have a couple of problems (probably real easy fixes), but I'm a newbie

A) I just put my motor back in (I did a cylinder rebuild) and everything has been running great! Except, now, the motor seems to be turning over when i floor the pedal, but the cart won't move the clutch and everything will do about one or two slow revolutions, and it quits. Last night it backfired quite alot so I re-adjusted the throttle cable, so it wouldn't backfire. Any indication of what my problem may be? Like should I check the bushes on the starter or?

B) I got the going 21 MPH! I couldn't tell you if the govenor is adjusted, but there is NO lift. I had to back it down, the front end start shaking really bad. The steering wheel has more "play" than it should, does anyone know how to fix this problem? or why it might have been shaking?

Thanks in advance for any help on this!

When you did the top end rebuild did you also replace the crank seals ? The reason I ask is it sound as if your drive clutch may be slipping on the crank. Is the center bolt tight securing the clutch?? You may want to check it. As for the movement in the front end there could be several reasons. Tie rod ends ether lose or worn/king pin bushings shot/loose or bent wheels/bad wheel bearings/lose gear box. Start by jacking the front end up and on jack stands. Now go to each wheel and move it front to rear and up and down look for any movement in the steering linkages. Any movement in these parts and you've found your problem. Also rotate the tires and look for a bent wheel or a out of round tire.

Well, it turns out my not moving problem was because of a dead battery.. I charged it, and she runs great now! I'll check out the front end tomorrow and let you know. Thank you!

Some ignition wires were broken due to driving the EZGO Gas cart where it shouldn't have been. It has a Robins EH29C gas engine. Does someone have a wiring diagram?
