Default 3pg muffler

is there supposed to be a tailpipe on the muffler? Mine has a 2" stub coming off the muffler. You can see the nub to the left of the bracket in the picture
... it seems to be making the engine compartment extremely hot...

Yes there is. If you are handy with the welder you should be able figure something out to extend it. I would post a picture but I can't figure out how to do that?

Yea, a picture would be a great help... welding is no problem. I have a MIG welder, but I have no idea how the original was routed.

When I post a pic, I upload to photobucket and then copy the URL into my post using the picture icon in the toolbar. You can also use the attachments icon in the toolbar too...
