Newer body on older cart

What does it take to put a 99 body on a 83 cart?
I have looked up old post and some say its a pain and others say its not that bad.
If you have done this swap would you give me a few pointers?

I have the 99 electric cart with rear seat, so I should have everything needed to do the swap. My plan is to use the body, seats and maybe the wheels from the 99 and part out the rest. I like the looks of the marathon body but mine is pretty beat up. I am a retired body man so fixing it wouldn't be a big problem just want to get the cart looking great. I am building the cart to haul my grandsons jr dragster and he said it has to be painted before we use it. I have looked within driving distance here in Kansas for a good Marathon body or complete cart and I cant find a good one reasonable priced..
Any helpful information or a picture or two of one with the body mods would be appreciated

The 99 txt body is now on my old 83 gas cart. The swap is not that big of a deal the hardest part was removing everything off of both carts. The sides of the seat frame needed to be modified, I just cut them off and made new ones to fit (the txt does not have them so you could probably just leave them out. I used the front and rear seat from the txt so the brackets for the old seat had to be cut off and I welded an angle on both sides to bolt the seats on. I also modified the metal rear bumper so the txt plastic cover would fit and I made the plastic side pieces fit similar to how it did on the txt. I also added a piece of aluminum in front of the seat to mount the regulator and switches on and the body covers it all up. My next step is to tear it back down and paint everything while it is apart.

I would like to thank pachanga 90 for the body swap information he shared with me.
The process is not all that bad and knowing what I know now as far as where to cut everything and what to cut I would do it again, but hopefully I am done building carts and now its time to put the cart to work pulling the Jr dragster at the track.

it's actually quite easy to swap a TXT cowl onto a Marathon ... First, remove the old cowl and dash tray (the plastic tray) - then You'll have to grind or cut a bit off the front outside corners of the metal dash tray to get the cowl in place and lined up. Lastly, You'll have to drill holes in the frame to put the side mounting bolts through and 2 holes through the top of the cowl to bolt it to the old inner dash frame. Make sure You replace the plastic tray before installing the cowl, it may have to be heated and bent a bit at the front inside corners to lay perfectly flat. That's it.
