Battery drain on early 90 model EZGO 2 cycle gas
New battery....I keep charging, it runs for awhile, then suddenly stops while running, or will not start at all later. I'm new in the golf cart world, so any help will be appreciated.......thanks

Re: Battery drain on early 90 model EZGO 2 cycle gas
First, check and clean connections including the battery terminals.I've had cars and other things refuse to charge because of crud buildup.Next, charge your battery, start it up and check it with a voltmeter. It should be putting out at least 13V.If it's dropping, remove your alternator and have it tested at an auto parts store. If the alternator checks out ok, then that leaves your voltage regulator. If you have no voltmeter, and cannot access one, just skip that part and take your alternator in to the shop.
Keep in mind this is very basic as I am not familiar with your cart.It should give you a place to start though. |
