EZgo 2 stroker will not start
I looked through the threads on this and can't find any help!... ok this is a 244 robin I think. I know it is a 2 stroke, with an oil pump. It has spark, it has fuel, it has 45lbs of compression...but it will not start. Any ideas? I took off the flywheel and the key was good, the pickup was centered in the two holes for adjustment. I shot a little either in it to see if I could at least get a pop...nothing. It was running along then just died. I put in a new plug. Nothing. Does the governor need to be hooked up to run? It is not but it looked like a mechanical device anyway so I couldn't see how that would affect it. I cleaned the carb. I pulled the full pump line off and cranked the engine and gas is being pumped. After some time trying to get it to start the plug will be wet. Once in a great while it may backfire...help! I don't get it! Thanks kory

Replace the crank seals? Umm...does that mean it is a compression problem? That doesn't sound right to me...

Re: EZgo 2 stroker will not start
45# COMPRESSION IS A PROBLEM.
should be over 100, sounds like its time for new rings. i would pull the carb and clean the main jet (with a wire) on the bottom of the bowl. hpoe that helps, Dew |

Re: EZgo 2 stroker will not start
Actually my compression was low 40-45 and with the new crank seals the compression came up I dont remember what it was when done but the cart runs good now.

Re: EZgo 2 stroker will not start
I actually only did the flywheel side on mine. I took the engine out and it wasnt to bad I didnt have a tool to get the clutch off so I tried it with just the one side and it worked. I am sure others will chime in with some help It was a first time for me and I found it to go pretty easily
