Default Ez Go Terrain 250 starting problem

Ez Go Terrain 250 with Kawasaki 13 HP

Ran fine all day. Went to start later and would not run. Has good spark and will fire with WD-40 directly into carb. Fuel filter and lines are new and clean. I'm thinking it may be the fuel pump but not sure how to test if it is working properly. Any ideas are appreciated.

Pull the fuel line at the pump that goes to the carb. Spin it over and see if it is pumping fuel. If so, your float may be stuck closed in the carb. I think the Kaws have a bowl drain screw on the bottom side of the bowl with a tension spring, phillips head I believe, loosen it a bit and see if fuel comes out. If it does, let it it until it stops, then close it and try again.. may be some water in the bowl..

I pulled off the fuel line and turned it over. Fuel pumped fine. Reconnected the fuel lines the pump. Your correct the Kaws have a bowl drain. I opened it up and gas ran out until the bowl was empty. Closed the drain and turned the engine over. Still would not run. Got my small brass hammer and gently taped the side of the carb. Cranked right up and ran perfect. You were right about the float and needle valve being stuck.

It's still under warranty and I'm wondering if it is worth taking into the shop for them to look at. Maybe wait and see if it does the something again.

Anyway thanks for your help and suggestions.

How long did you try to turn it over before the carb tap? You did have an empty bowl so it will take a little bit to get enough back in there to start.. and if it had fuel in it before you drained it, why did it not start ?? I'm thinking water, then empty bowl, then success. Drive it and see..

It is possible that I didn't give it enough time with turning over the engin to fill the bowl. The carb tap may have not been necessary. Ran it all day today with no problems, but I did keep the small brass hammer in the Cart just in case. Guess I'll put the hammer up now. Hopefully I won't have this problem again for some time. I really appreciate your answers and help.
