Default TXT won't turn over when warm

I currently have two issues with my early TXT lifted cart. 1. Starter turns over fine when cool, but solenoid just clicks when cart has run for a while... you can let it cool down and it cranks?? Also... Related??? 2.The power is low and the headlights are dim until it all of a sudden "kicks in". Then headlights brighten and the engine surges simultaneously. Help Please!

Sounds like a bad ground.

Clean grounds, run another ground wire if needed, definetly check them.

Thank you for the quick responses. I was thinking ground too, and have already cleaned terminals. May try relocating the ground...
Is there a way to test the generator? I understand how the lights would be effected, but the loss of power?? is the ignition module driven by the generator?

module is run from battery voltage, The starter has 4 brushes like a electric motor, 2 for charging, 2 for cranking the engine

When it gets hot and wont crank, hold the gas peddle to the floor, tap lightly on the starter and see if anything happens, if you get the engine to rotate or it attempts to rotate the starter needs to go to the shop for a check up

Make sure it is not just the starter belt slipping when it is hot and longer.

I think we got it! Did some serious cleaning on the ground bracket.. Lights seem brighter and I believe the engine is running strong. Will trailer to the woods tomorrow and test on the hills. Thanks for the help!
