Default engine clutch removal

I got the clutch loose from the crank, but it wont clear the axle. do I have to unbolt the whole axle or the motor? any tips appreciated.

i think if you unbolted the two pass side motor mounts and lifted the motor up a little you should be able to get it out.

That is how I did mine although I undid just the one engine frame mount accessible by removing the passenger rear wheel. Then with a jack on the engine frame I was able to raise the engine until the clutch cleared the axle.

I took the passenger side bolt out on the motor cradle and the front one out too. Jacked the cradle up with a floor jack from the passenger side till the muffler can was against the heat shield for the fuel tank. This let me get the clutch back far enough to get past the crank snout then was easier to go down under the axle. 9/16th wrench to let off the pressure on the generator/starter belt.

Cheers Don.
