1991 cart won't take off
well I'm new to golf carts but I have a 1991 and when I put my foot on the gas it just puts for about 5 minutes then finally revs up ant takes off. What would cause this? Since I got it, it takes longer and longer

It's a 4 stroke. The drive belt isn't engaged by the clutch( if thats what it is called) until it finally revs up, then it goes. If i left off and then try to go again it doesn't take nearly as long but still has a delay. It's like it needs to warm up but takes forever. It is also gutless and can barely climb the slightest hill. Any ideas?

Its sounds like its not firing, check the plugs, and adjust the valves if they havent been in a while(check the valve adjustment Ezgo governor adjustment 4 strokes ) and start from there. it sounds like its just cranking over than finnaly starting.
