Question Synthetic Motor Oil

Hello,

I just picked up a nice 2009 EZGO ST Custom 2+2 with the Kawasaki 13 HP 401 CC (model FJ400D) in it and being that I run Mobile One Synthetic in all of my vehicles, I wanted to run it by the forum to see if it would be ok to run Mobile One 10w-30 Synthetic motor oil in this cart. I assume that it would be ok, but wanted to run it past the experts!

Thanks!

If you think it is broken in good, miles or hours and it being an 09. I would think it would be and should be OK to use. If it were mine I would.

Sounds good! Will be changing to Mobile One 10W-30 once I get my new filter this week.

In any case,as long as the motor has about 30 hours or more on it,definitely switch to synthetic. In automotive-applications always wait until 4-5000 miles, before switching, otherwise there will be ring-sealing problems, due to lack of friction from synthetics(Fresh motors need some friction to break-in and set wear-patterns).Hope this helps.

The engine is broken in so I will be switching to Mobile One Synthetic 10W-30.

Thanks!
