Default Help. How to install new axle tube

I have a lifted 1999 ezgo gas. I broke the axle tube and need to install a new one. Can someone tell me how or direct me to a site that I can use as a step by step ref. I have a Jakes long travel kit and a 24hp Vtwin.

Thanks

I'm not sure what all was involved in swapping them out as I think the pumpkin is cast over the tubes. Check that out... look for a tabs (bottom side) that keeps the tube from spinning. Let us know what you find

It's basically a metal tube the houses the axle. There is a right and a left. Mine actually broke at the weld point. I will let you know what I find. Are you guys having a lot of problems with ezgo carts that have the Honda 24 hp engine and jakes lift kits?

I have a 25hp Subaru 720cc twin in mine, running stock rear end for 3 years now. Homemade Lift. No problems.
P.S.
I went out and looked at a diff. You can't change an axle tube without some fab skills.

Wow- I thought these cart axles were really strong for their intended use. Exactly when did it break? When you were accelerating hard? Or have you been riding over some really rough terrain?
