350 four stroke rebuild help
So I was searching craigslist and I ran across a pre mci 350 for 30 bucks . He said it wasn't worth fixing because it was missing a piston and had rust inside. I pulled it apart today and with a little wire wheeling everything cleaned up real nice. I honed the empty cylinder it cleaned up too. So the only thing I can figure is this motor was used for parts after the intake valves where sucked up into the head.
So my question is what to do with it, should I put a set of stock pistons in and a gasket kit, should I get a oversized piston kit. Is there any advantage to run a 295 head on a 350? Is this a direct replacement for the 295 I have now? |
