1991 gas input shaft

I have a 1991 Ezgo gas with bad input shaft. I need to find out where to buy one or find a used rear. any help would be appreciated.

i have looked for two days everywhere on the internet....even went to a dealer and he tried to get it though ezgo they said it was too old . i will need to find a used rear end or input shaft . if anyone has one i am interested .....the cart is in too good not to fix. Thanks

Don't need parts anymore...........took old shaft to machine shop and had it fixed. Thanks

Just curios- What exactly was wrong with it? Was it broken? Bent? Would you care to share the approximate charge by the machine shop? (someone else may have an input shaft issue in the future and wonder if it is fixable- they could do a search and find this thread).

I bought the 1991 marathon 2 cycle for 200.00. It had a bolt snapped off
in the input shaft, not only snapped off but it had been drilled and an easy out snapped off inside also.The drilled hole was also off center. I disassembled the rear and took the input shaft to a machine shop shop they drilled the hole out to 3/8 and re-taped it for $35.00. reassembled the rear end and so far everything works.

Thanks for sharing- although it was probably lots of work taking it apart and putting it back together, it sounds like it was a fairly cheap repair.

Bob you got a real deal a broken tap in a hole is a nightmare your machine shop treated you right. I think you owe them some BEER Good for you!!!
