Default 79 ezgo mikuni fuel pump

having issues with 79 ezgo, the carb is flooding gas is coming out of the vent in the top of the caburator. the carb looks brand new, i took it all apart and checked it out everything is clean loooks new. so i was wondering if the fuel pump could be pumping to much pressure for the needle and seat to stop it when the bowl fills up. i have just bought this cart so i dont know to much about whats been done.

It sounds like the float valve is out of adjustment. You will need to remove the carb from the cart, remove the bowl and slightly bend the part of the metal float that contacts the needle valve so that the valve will close sooner.

Do them both while you are at it.
They are cheap.

I agree- do them both now and that way you won't have to worry about the other one going bad soon.

You should be aware that the seal on the clutch for the 79 is the same as the 1980 and up. However unlike the 1980 and up the seal on the fan side is a different size. The clutch side is available everywhere but this is the only source for the fan side that I found
