Smile first post.

Hi All,
A friend of mine just gave me an older EZGO. 2 stroke gas. I haven't looked at it yet. He says it needs an igniter, How hard are these to come by? I would like to lift it and turn it into a clays cart. should be a fun project. I will get pics as soon as I pick it up.
Thanks jack

You should be able to use the gm HEI mod on this cart in place of the igniter.

Part numbers for GM HEI Modules

Cost: Around $20

  • Autozone Wells DR100
  • Advance Auto Parts GP Sorensen EL102
  • AC Delco D1906
  • Accel 35361
  • Napa Milage Plus #MPETP45SB
  • PepBoys Accel #35367
  • Echlin TP45
  • Blue Streak LX301
  • Neihoff DR400
  • Filko DR300
  • KEM E200
For those 4 strokers reading this. YOU CAN'T USE A GM HEI MODULE TO REPLACE THE IGNITOR UNITS ON 4 STROKE EH29's OR EH35's. This is ONLY for 2 stroke ezgo's.

Thanks everyone. I think it might need the pick-up (or what ever it may be called) that is behind the flywheel. I am not sure yet as I just picked it up I have a bad habit of liking free stuff.
Thanks again.

Thats the "Pulsar coil" behind the flywheel. Not sure how available those are.
