They sell a spring-loaded universal brake-switch for Motorcycles, that would be easy to set up.Dennis-Kirk: K & S Universal Brake Light Switch - 120001($7.99).They mount with a small bracket, then when you press the pedal,it pulls the switch, which is linked to the pedal by a spring,so it doesn't over-travel and damage the switch. They work good,we've used them for years on custom bikes.

I used two switches under the pedal. One to turn on the brake lights, and another to break the circuit when the e-brake was set. Sorry, no pics.

Here's the type of switch I used. I opened them up and filled them with dielectric grease to make them waterproof. The ones I bought were not riveted shut. I mounted them to the brake pedal arm. The long lever allows them to spring a little bit.

Pach90 has the right idea. I saved one from an old Cushman for the same purpose I could see how easy it would be to mount and liked the idea of the spring for override.
