Question Starter keeps turning engine over after peddle is released?

The starter keeps turning the engine over (sometimes) after the go peddle is completely released & ignition is switched to off on my '99 TXT.I've checked & lubed all the linkage which appear to be functioning correctly so I'm thinking either the micro switch or starter solenoid is sticking (I'm thinking it's the solenoid),has anybody else had this happen and if so what was the fix?

The solenoid is the last link to activating the starter/generator. if all others stick closed they ave to go through the solenoid. So check the solenoid with power off and if you get continuity through the 2 big posts you have welded contacts. together.

When it is acting up, smack the side of the solenoid with a hammer or screw driver handle and see if it quits. If yes, bad solenoid..

The problem is that your buggy doesn't want to stop cruising, mind of it's own and it want to ride :)

You already go the right answer so figured I could be a goof ball
