I Am rebuilding a Robin engine and would like to know the proper ring gap for this engine

Thanks Rusty for the welcome. I am new at this and will have to learn my way. I am rebuilding this engine complete. There was a note with the rings that said to be sure to
have the correct ring gap but did not tell me what that gap should be. I do not have a repair manuel.

i'd like to know too.. i've been trying to gather information for that year so i can compile a page of information for the future for people here.. so any information found such as this let me know and i'll jot it down =)

this is from the pg3 service manual, but will still apply to your engine. "if the ring gap exceeds .016 inch and the cylinder bore is not scored or worn more than .003inch, install new rings."

Thanks for the info on ring gap. I have new cylinder, new piston and new rings with a ring gap of .008 so I should be ok. Thanks again.
