ezgo gas not shutting off
just got a ezgo txt gc. are thay supposed to shut off when you let off the gas pedal?

Welcome to the forum bmsbh.................
Yes. If it is a standard golf cart, it goes when you push the pedal and shuts off when you release the pedal.............. Unless of course, it has a problem or someone has modified it. |

Thanks for the info! I have acquired this cart from our subdivision, and wasn't sure if the motor should idle when I take my foot off the gas pedal. I have a 1996 e-z-go 6 passanger gc, and would like to know if anybody could give me a guess on how much it is valued at?

I can have a photo tomorrow, so please watch for future post. It has two forward facing bench seats, and a rear facing bench seat that the seat portion will fold forward to create a flat bed.

Those strech cars are super nice!
 Pics please  A rough estimate for those stretch carts would be in the $4500+++ range. they tend to be more than that. If it hasnt been modified, then you probably have a bad microswitch in the pedal box under the floor mat. |

Bad micro switch or it is out of adjustment or a sticking solenoid, tap on the solenoid and see if it stops after you let off of the pedal.
