Question 1990 ezgo Oil/Gas mixture conversion

Hello all - First time posting.... I bought a 1990 ezgo with a 2 cycle engine and I am wondering how hard it is and how to go about doing it to convert it to be able to mix the gas myself. I am a little worried that the pump will go out with out my knowing and having more problems than its worth. Thanks for the help.

Pulling the pump is a very good idea as once they get old they're unpredictable ... Easy to do too - at the elbow in front of the carb (intake) there's a banjo bolt, remove it and plug the hole with a 6mm bolt (any air leaks here will wreak havoc with your running but once plugged it's all good) ... Now, remove the oil tank, lines, and pump (the pump just slides out after you remove the 2 screws holding it to the front of the motor)

Mix your gas at 128:1 (that's 1oz of 2-stroke oil per gallon of raw fuel) and you're good to go !!!
