Default 88 ezgo 2 cycle gas/oil mix coming out of exhaust

My 88 2cycle has gas/oil coming out of the joint of the exhasust and muffler. Cart wants to fire, but wont...all it does is smoke. I had someone who thought they were helping put oil in the gas, but I already had a full oiler. My thought is that there is TOO much oil, so it wont fire properly, but rather push the gas/oil mix through the exhasut. I think I should pump all the gas oil mix out and replace it with fresh gas only and hope it fires. Any thoughts

Welcome to the forum love2camp................

I agree with you and if you pull the spark plug and it's wet with oil, then you know for sure.

Remove the muffler and then try cranking it. The muffler may be clogged up.

Pump the gas out and replace with clean fuel, replace plug and try to fire up. If it still won't start remove exhaust and see if the muffler is saturated with oil, that may cause restriction on the flow, also do a visual inspection on the air filter might be restricting air flow.
