Default 1992 Marathon

Going to look at this cart this evening. It appears to be in great shape. Owner said it is a Robyn engine 295cc 4 cycle. Did they have the 4 cycle out by then? Or is this a replaced motor? He wants $1800 for it.

1992 is the date that is generally accepted as the start of the 4 stroke motor so it could be the original, of course it could be a replaced motor but the cart was designed for that engine. If there is any doubt in your mind simply count the spark plugs, the earlier 2 stroke had just one.

Thanks Dave. I just returned from looking at it. The motor is strong, seats need and back rest need re-done. Motor is strong does not smoke and starts right up. I am going to make him an offer and see what he says. The motor is original.
