Default What Oil

I have searched the manuals and can't find what weight oil should be used in a 2005 Workhorse transmission, should it be synthetic or not, I found where it takes 40 oz.

Default Re: What Oil

straight 30w non-detergent oil is what it calls for. I have used 15-50w Mobil 1 extended performance in them but it's up to you what you use. With a stock engine I see no gains in using the synthetic, it might be 100th of a sec faster up to 20mph for what good that would be. I'm sure it would offer a bit more protection but at limited governed speeds it's not really an issue.
