gas ezgo workhorse not charging the battery
I replaced the battery and the new battery died in 3 or 4 hours. Can someone help with the charging system?

Re: gas ezgo workhorse not charging the battery
Certainly, first charge the battery. Now connect a DVM across the battery and you should see 12.6 (ish) volts. Jack up the rear axle or remove the drive belt. Remove the DF wire from the regulator (it is probably green). Start the engine and connect the wire to a good clean ground, the voltage should rise to 18 volts. If it does then your regulator is defective and should be replaced. If it does not rise then the generator is defective. If this is the case then you may just need to replace the brushes.
Good luck Dave |
