no doubt try to get the cross hatch pattern and use new rings,there cheap..id sure hate to see ya put it back together and have the same problem tho..theres gotta be a reason..you need to talk to a tech that works on them all the time and milk him for info..

Only thing I can think of is bad rings. Should be the only way that much oil could get on top of the pistons.

did the pistons have oil on the top of them? the black color i see looks like fuel,,running rich..and your spark plugs prob look the same id think..

I don't know if chrome rings are available, but as an old hotrod mechanic I never had any luck with them, I always went with cast iron, seat better.

hone and re-install correctly with proper ring gap and make sure the ring gaps are clocked at different intervals.
honing is very important to get the new rings to seat
