How to check oil 295CC robins

I just bought my first gas EZ GO. I know it has a 295CC Robins engine.

I have two questions:

1) how do i check the engine oil, i can not find a dipstick anywhere on this thing.

2) Can i adjust the governor on the rear end to get a little more speed out of it, or should i leave it as it is.

The cart is stock no changes. it is a 2006 model year if that matters. I have always had electric and decided on a change so i am in the learnign process now. I thank you for all your help.

yep, on the front of the motor between the cylinders and if it wasn't there it would be blowing oil out the hole.

Thank you for the reply, I will look again tonight when I get home, but I could not find one last night maybe I just overlooked it.

I am happy I found this form, as it is a wealth of information for us newbees.

One other question, what is the difference or how do I tell what cart i have?

Marathon, TXT or RXV.

All i know is it is a 2006 EZGO with the 295CC Robins engine.

I wil figure this thing out and hopefully one day i can help others on this form.

put your serial number in the link and it will tell you what cart you have, it's going to be a PDS or a series cart, if the forward reverse switch is on the dash next to the key it's a PDS, if the F/R is on the body of the cart next to your leg it's a series cart
