Default 90 PSI compression on a Robin 244cc 2 stroke, good or bad

After running it for 5 or so minutes I had 90 psi compression and it seems I read it should be like 120. Any chance I can just run it like this? If I do what can I expect?

90psi is minimal. A top end kit is in your near future. Anything bekow that you probably won't have much power and speed.

I agree with 1fast67, but if it seems to be running good then I'd go with it now. As far as I know there really isn't much damage your gonna cause by running it with low compression. But your right you should be up in the 115-120 range ideally.

Thanks, sounds like the risk is loss of power, I will run it like it is.

Try tightening the head bolts a bit. Poss to have a bit of loosness there that could cause a bit of loss or bad gasket. I would just take it off and look inside the cylinder for scoreing and poss head gasket failure. Just a thought and not allot of work to try. Gasket around $12 or so.
