Default Carb and back fire issue

Hi, I have a 1991 EZ GO 2 stroke.
Replaced and cleaned the carb more times than I want to admit. Its like the carbs float sticks and it fills with gas then over flows spitting the gas out the float bowl vent.

second problem is at low speeds the cart back fires. when you left off the gas there is a back fire. but only at low speeds and only when you left off the gas.

any help would be great. thank you

If you have did many carb cleanings and disassemblies you more than likely have a float that has failed and is getting gas into it making it to heavy to float and shut of the needle. No dought the backfire is due to gas issue and will probably go away after carb repair.
I take it you have set the current floats to the proper settings however.
If not, do that before thinking it is a sinking float.
Let us know when you are victoriuos if that is spell'd right.

Have replaced and tested new float, not a problem. Have set it to proper setting (level with the gasket surface) and tried adjusting to different positions.

Backfire = throttle plate not closing all the way when you let up.

Was this a problem before you rebuilt the carb?
