Default Tail lights and blinkers

Hello all. I just moved to SD and it is legal to drive my cart around town as long as it is street legal. I already have head lights, but need to install tail lights and turn signals. Does anybody have any ides? All the kits I have seen include a headlight conversion also, which I don't need. Thanks!!!

You can purchase LED tail/brake lights very cheaply, on EBAY or DEALEXTREME and run wires to ground and to the power source (headlight switch for the tail-lights and brake switch for the brake lights (there are some ways to hook up a brake light switch on some threads on this forum), LED's are not only cheap but they are much brighter than incandescent lights. I put tail-lights on my TXT for safety reasons around my neighborhood, our streets are private so the vehicle doesn't have to be street legal and it took me about two hours, most of which was trying to decide how to route the wires. it wasn't hard except for getting up and down off of the ground (use to be easier for some reason).

Hello wammer, I've seen add on turn signals switches on ebay also. Or you could put 4 lights on rear, 2 hooked to headlights and the other 2 hooked to a 3 way toggle with a 5 dollar flasher blinker for each light. Throw 2 yellow lights on front hooked to toggle and you got turn signals all around. If you have to have brake lights too, purchase a set of 2 way lights (stop & tail) instead of single, hook the tail lead up to the headlights. Take a 10 dollar spring loaded start button from your local auto parts, drill a hole in floor, (think of a high/low dimmer switch like in the 70's that came on cars) Hook up wires to the switch and brake wire. Use your left foot to turn on brake lights. Just my redneck 2 cents worth, parts less than 50 bucks.

There are lots of options...we used LED tail lights on our last cart that are commonly found on big rigs. Super cheap, plugs are cheap. You can get universal signal switches and like corkscrew said you don't need to be super fancy when setting up a switch for break lights. If you dont want an ugly signal switch on the steering column, you can use a three position toggle switch on the dash. Don't forget the flasher unit at your local auto shop. Again all very cheap. Good luck!

I used a 50's something chevy truck brake light switch, just a few dollars.
