Default oil

what is the thickest oil i can put in my 295cc?it smokes and i have one more trip till i tear it down for a rebuild.someone said to try the lucas oil stuff also.i thought maybe straight 50 wt......

On the 295 and 350 about as thick as I would run is 20/50wt. If you go to thick it can blow out the o-ring at the oil pump cover and possible others... guess how I figured that out
The helical gear rears (4 strokes and late 2 strokes) it calls for 30wt non det. oil. the ring and pinion rears use 90wt gear oil.

Like the rear in an old truck only smaller
The belt runs side to side
