2 cycle oil brand?
I'm new to this so sorry for such a simple question. What brands are you guys using for your 2 cycle oil? I'm not seeing a lot if porous at the auto stores around here. There is plenty if marine 2 cycle, but is that ok? I bought some little bottles of Lucas but that was a little pricey for such a small amount. I'd like to get it in gallons or at least quarts. What works?

Re: 2 cycle oil brand?
That was what I thought about getting, marine 2 cycle oil. That quicksilver stuff is probably available at walmart. Amazon has the gallon jugs of Lucas for about $31 right now. How much is the quicksilver stuff?

Re: 2 cycle oil brand?
The main thing is to make sure it says for Pre-Mix,if you are mixing it.Injection-oil won't work as PreMix.Some oils work for both, some don't.I've heard Walmart carries some.I use Havoline 2-cycle in my yard-stuff,and I was running it in the cart with the 2-stroke as well.

Re: 2 cycle oil brand?
I picked up some quicksilver today at Wally World, $20 for a gallon. It says on the back for just about any air cooled two stroke, mixed or injected. 2 stroke king, I'll let you know if she blows. Thanks for the input!

Re: 2 cycle oil brand?
could be a commercial "I use that $hit in everything!"
I use the Super Tech brand from Walmart in my Evinrude 48 outboard. The motor is 18 years old and runs great. Haven't had any problems with the carbs or anything. It is a lot cheaper than most brands and has the same TC-W3 rating that all marine oils should have. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Super-Tech...#ProductDetail Only $13/gallon |
