Default hard start after running awhile

2001 EZGO gas. after riding awhile and having the motor fairly warm. If I stop to talk to someone a few minutes and step on the gas pedal it takes for ever to pick up. Sometimes I think choking it helps, other times I think maybe it is flooded. problem is It wont do it at home when I could check it out better. Possibly float sticks? Compression problem when hot?

I have found that once a 2 stroke plug starts to crap out n amount of cleaning really gets it right and it might be that your cart starts with a cold plug but not when it is hot and oily. A fairly cheap test would be to fit a new NGK BP5HS and report back.

not a 2 stroke, 2001 is a 4 stroke, but thanks anyway.

I'm not real familiar with the 4 strokes but maybe your valves need to be adjusted. I think they need to be .004 cold. Hopefully someone with more experience can help out here.
