New to this section...I found a workhorse
Whoo Hoo / Hoodi woo.....
Just looking around at all the Kewl gasser carts in here.....I haven't been in HERE much....mostly cause it took a darn long time for me to find MY Workhorse But Today was the day .....I bought a neglected 2000 Workhorse needing a clutch from a horse ranch south of here...They sure didn't waist much water washing it when it did run LOL Anyway, I'm happy to have it and I think the project will start with the removal of the 'ball catcher cage' Tell me what ya'll think! http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/attac...1&d=1222658721 |

Our carts Are related Changed IT ? LOL More like you Morphed it!
What is the nose or cowling you put on that ? That looks good and I see you went with a drop axle? Do you like that? And what should I do to the 350 without spending too much money? Sorry, I have a million Qs.... |

The cowl is for an ST350, so is the drop axle. These carts are easy to change that way, ezgo pretty much did it for you when they made the ST350. Pretty much the coolest thing you can do to a 350 is stick a 295 head on it, you'll get better than 16hp out of it that way.

Re: New to this section...I found a workhorse
I know! My friend bhfear did this. It was not a simple conversion and the first one broke, there is a lot of compression.....the oil pump becomes the weak link. It was a stuggle to get enough fuel to it once it ran,,,,on airplane fuel!
Yeah it is a beast with wings..... P.S. I need a cargo box as my new Workhorse has a stretch plastics cargo box on it.....Anyone close? How about clutch ideas? Trying to figure out what to do with the cab? What did you do with yours? |

I traded my cab for another cart Those cabs cost some big $$$$. If you have the doors and all, and can find someone that needs it.
Which clutch do you need? |

Looks like a fun project Scotty. Obviously you've found your cart soul mate.
Jon, I've always liked the looks of your green cart. It just looks tough and capable. Boo |

Re: New to this section...I found a workhorse
I was told by the seller that it needed the drive clutch....He told me they used to pull a drag around the arena to smooth out the footing and that the clutch needed replacing ($700) so they parked it. NOw I'm no expert but I looked at the belt and it is hanging loose....so loose I could easily take it off without tools Is it possible the belt stretched so much it slips? We checked the # on the belt = it is the right one for the cart....then darkness fell...

Can you get the engine run. Put it up on blocks and try to run it, and see if the clutch engages, and belt slips. If so, there's your answer. :)
