1992 gas ezgo lift oil in air filter

hi just got this golf cart and bought a new filter and went to put in and notice there was oil in the filter box, so I called my local golf cart place and they said cause its lifted and the motor is slanted it will show the oil level is always a half a quart low. ok so I drained it where it shows the oil level is at one and a half quarts. I drove it without the oil filter for awhile and had the oil back in the filter box, I cleaned it out and drove it again same problem. so I need to know why I have oil in my filter box. thanks I think the lift is a
6" if that helps thanks for any help

sounds to me like it is still over filled on oil Use 1.5 qts. oil, it will show low on the dip stick, mark on the dip stick where it is and do not over fill from the mark mine reads on the half way mark when full.
