Help finding year of ezgo gas cart.
I bought a ezgo gas cart. The cart has new body with no serial numbers. The serial number on the motor is 1081945 A08. We thought the cart was an 2008, but when I put the serial number in the ezgo web site it pulled up 1998. It is a subaru motor.

I don't think subaru bought out Fuji Motors (Robins) until 05 or so. Is the air filter round or rectangular shaped?

If round it's not a 98, probably is an 08.

Yes, I think that it is 2008. Where can I find the serial number for the cart stamped in the cart. Is the serial number on the motor the same as the cart?

On an 08 the serial number should be on a paper tag on the body support,
under the seat and little flap at the top back of the engine compartment. Don't know if they matched the engine number. |

I have an 08 and it's stamped in the top of the rail behind the seat on the passenger side. Mine is an MPT though. Kinda hard to see because it's done with a kind of engraver. Bunch of dots.. My tag says 09 cause that's what the guy who sold it me says it was and I haven't changed it. Is your motor single cylinder or two?

Two cylinder. There is no tag on the frame support behind the seat.

Well if the steering is bolted on a plate on the axle it is definitely a 2001.5 or newer.

Not a tag but engraved into the metal of the frame. Hard to see without a flashlight on angle on my cart.
