1988 EZGO parts question

I have a 1988 EZGO marathon and I was wondering if parts from a 1989 will fit my 1988? I see that they are almost the same but I just want to make sure that 1989 stuff will fit before I buy it.

As far as body parts probably the same but some other smaller parts, engine, electrical and such may be a bit diff. Part numbers would tell that story. Most parts will show all the years they will fit. like from 85 to 89 or the like.
Can not remember at the moment when the body went to the marathon.

Its mainly for the body is what I'm curious on. Like the fender flares the main ones I can find is for an 89.

How do you get the cover off? I removed the 6 smaller bolts on the outer plate but the one big bolt wont come off due to it just turning with the pulley

I think you meant to post this in your other thread. You have to hold the clutch to keep it from spinning in order to get the center bolt out.
