Default Robin 244 cc Build

Has anyone used one of these cylinders ?It would increase HP by approximately 1.35 if the claims are true .I would like to port and polish my own but have been unable to find pics or a diagram to follow .I believe one of these, shaving the head,2 stage reed valves, change the bv18 to a bv24 ,home brew forced cold air box and build and tune a header pipe w/expansion chamber would greatly increase performance .

For that kind of price, don't waste your money. The best way to increase HP is to install a larger carb. And it is MUCH cheaper.

30mm Mukuni is a great fit for that motor.

My first question would be "an extra 15%, who says?" oh yes the guy that is selling the product, well it must be true then.

Seriously I doubt if you would feel the difference from 11hp to 12+ hp and it certainly isn't worth $325 over the price of a upper replacement kit, you could do a lot better with a new carburetor and some messing with the timing.

2 pg. I think you will need some other mods to get any real advantage to a timing change. Best leave it at the stock mark for now. There is a scribed mark under the top screw on the timing plate. Once it's running solid again, then you can start to make some changes.
