Fuel Gauge
I got a 2007 ezgo 2+2 with the stock fuel gauge. I am currently getting it painted and doing some other work to it while I have it tore apart. I was thinking about putting an auto meter fuel gauge in place of the original fuel gauge. Has anyone did this? How did it turn out? I want something with a back light is the only reason I'm wanting to do this.

Re: Fuel Gauge
Let me know how it goes. I am worried bout the sending unit not working properly. Like reading correctly and everything along those lines.

I did a fuel gauge install and link to it. I used a 240 Ohm Auto Meter with matching gauge I already had. Trimmed the key plate for the gauge and wired it to the ignition so when the pedal is pressed, gauge reads. Let off pedal, gauge goes to E. A kit is like 200 bucks. I made my own backing plate. Pro Tip: The sending unit base IS NOT CONCENTRIC WITH HOLES. The black mark line you see on the gauge, gasket and backing plate are to line the holes up during mounting. Re: Fuel Gauge
Your stock fuel tank sender is 33-240 ohm. You can use the auto meter or most boat fuel gages are the same.

Re: Fuel Gauge
Bad1986, I misread your post, thought you were putting a whole fuel gauge unit in. Reread it to figure out you were just replacing the gauge only, and on the right track.
