Default 87 ez go gas marathon issue

I am completely stumped on what the problem is. My golf cart will run but wont move...ive replaced the solenoid gave it a tune up, cleaned the carb, checked the fuel pump it works, it has spark, and the piston is good...anybody have any idea what to try? Its got a robin engine

Is the drive clutch closing as the motor gains RPMs to grab the drive belt? Is the drive belt worn badly?

Hey jrose25, it is fairly common to figure the engine is running when it actually is not. When pressing the gas harder pedal, does the engine increase in RPM's. Does the engine get louder as the gas pedal is depressed more and more? If not, then your engine is not actually running yet.

If your engine is actually running but you are not moving you probably have a stripped rear hub and all it takes is one. Been there done that. Lift back of cart and see if you are getting movement on both wheels when you turn them by hand. If you have to replace one hub you may as well do both so it will not fail some time when you are in the field. Let use know what you find.

I'm pretty sure that Mike Eddie is on the money and the engine is cranking but not starting. If you are sure that it is sparking then you have a fuel or compression issue. Pull the fuel line off the carburetor and crank the engine, do you see large pulsing jets of fuel? The other big issue for the 2 stroke is compression, can you get access to a tester?

Agree with Dave as your engine is not actually running.

I did a compression test and it reads 140 and the fuel pump is pumping gas
