Automotive Solenoid?
I have an 89 with 2pg, the solenoid is out can I use a 4 pole automotive solenoid. If so what is the part number?\

An automotive solenoid is not continuous duty. It will burn up very quickly.

Correct some members use solenoids for a snow plow app. It does require a continuous duty. Spend the $$$$ one time

When you google search for the right solenoid, this is what you should be looking for..

A Continuous-Duty solenoid for a snow-plow,lift-gate,or electric dump-body pump.Any of these will work fine and for a long time,and cheaper than a factory replacement.Hope this helps.
