Default 2014 EZGO L4 Throttle Spring Question

I have nut and threaded shaft pulled all the way back and I am hitting 23.0-23.5 on my 2014 L4. Could I possibly see 25 if I zip tie a few coils on the spring? I just don't want to over rev the motor. Thanks for the help.
