Default Think I know the answer but I gotta ask

So picked up a spare motor and parts for my 87 marathon today. The clutch is currently removed from the motor. The shaft that the clutch mounts to has a bit of up and down movement to it. Not a lot but it is noticeable. Is this normal or am I looking at bad crank bearings?

Thanks

Ugh........

Oh well. Looks like I have one I can throw on the bench and learn how to rebuild. I may end up with a real expensive but ugly cart before this is over.

Thanks
