Cart Shakes like Crazy
It happened the first time about a week ago. I was driving the family around and hit a slight bump and the steering went crazy. It is very similar to a Jeep having "Death Wobble". You can either slow down or speed up and power through it. It is very sporadic. It seems to change as i have my daughter in different positions on the rear seat. I am not sure how to test steering, tie rod ends, or wheel bearings. I figured that would be my most likely culprits since i haven't changed anything recently. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Cart Shakes like Crazy
Jack up the front end and see what is loose. What year cart? or does the steering column post have 3 or 4 bolts at the floor?

Re: Cart Shakes like Crazy
it's possible that if You do as KG said You will find an issue - if everything seems tight though it's possible You knocked the front end out of alignment which would also give you a pulling or wobble at certain speeds ... Let us know what You find when You jack it up, also if your cart is a 2002 or earlier (which would mean You have the 3-bolt steering) check the steering column for up and down play (meaning grab the steering wheel and see if you can move it forward or backward more than 1/4" or so - don't be shy, either) - I had a friend run a cart of mine into some bushes and it managed to crack the top mount of the steering box, caused one heck of a vibration/wobble (although that was at almost all speeds)

Re: Cart Shakes like Crazy
i jacked the front end up and found play in the hub assemble. i removed the center hub of my wheel and the grease cap came off with it. I removed the castle nut and the bearing, it dint feel any pits or anything. can lack of grease cause it to have some play. Or should i just start replacing bearings?

Re: Cart Shakes like Crazy
i would imagine that between lack of grease and metal on metal wear that you would want to replace them , the wobble could have been from the bearings wearing with no grease causing a space for the wobble to occur
