Default modified workhorse

I think I got deleted by an admin. For whatever reason, my login didn't work and I can't find my thread. I was trying to find out what year my cart was and found out it's an older style. Still unsure exactly what all was modified from its original state. It had the rear flip seat, which I removed. Took off the 7 foot long roof and built a cage, used diamond plate to cover the rear deck where the dump bed was supposed to be. I'd like to lift it to fit 25s or 27s if possible. Just not sure of which kit. Here's some photos as it sits now.

Admin didn't do it on purpose.. Server had an issue and they had to go back to a backup from I believe 10/1. It happens.

As for your cart, it appears to be a long body workhorse or oasis(bev cart) pre 2001. I looks to have a lift kit on it but not sure which one.. Hard to tell.. There should be a serial number engraved on top of the frame rail next to the right rear tire. Get that and plug it into the serial number lookup at shopezgo.com to get more info..

Thanks for the heads up.

That's definitely a pre-01 based on the steering box, that lift also appears to be the factory one which leads me to believe (along with the lockable differential, split seats, hand brake, etc) that the cart started out life as an "ST" model ...

The upside is you already have a solid, quality lift. The bad is that if You want to go higher, You're stuck with either a new drop-axle or a Long-Travel, with your current axle a spindle lift will NOT work safely. A long-travel front would definitely be the way to go, although if I recall correctly to get more out of that rear end You're likely going to have to use the blocks from an electric lift and flip the brakes (a simple job but time-consuming) ... Nice starting point for a great cart, BTW, You've likely got the 28 degree driven clutch which is far better IMHO than the stock 36, the locking diff is great to have off-roading, and I'm a personal HUGE fan of the long-wheelbase carts !!!

BCM, good catch on the locking but did you see the hydraulic brakes and the swing arm rear ?? This might be a 480.. What engine is in this cart ? Briggs ?

I believe it is a ST480. I used the allsport kit on my cart it fits 26'' tires but at caw trip it did manage to scrub the brush guard a few times I bought a set of 25'' for the next big outing.

missed the brake thing, but look - no exhaust can so likely Yes, Briggs and Likely an ST480. Dang I'm seeing a ton of these coming out on the market lately, this is like the third thread in the past few weeks regarding someone with a "new to them" ST with the Briggs ...

Beater Cart is right.

It looks like a ST480 prior to the 2001 or so model year when they moved the steering box around.
