New To Golf Cart's
I just bought a used 2010 E-Z-GO and I'm upgrading it a little at a time. It came with head light's and I added tail light's so I guess it's got the wiring harness for everything else. I want to add the break light switch and I found the two wire's the switch plug's into but where does the switch mount ?? I'm new to golf cart's and a new member here. Thanks. I didn't mention that it's an ST SPORT 2+2.

Re: New To Golf Cart's
There is something strange going on here. When I click on the blue box for latest post I get the ezgo cart post.
When I just click on the tread I get the club car post. |

Re: New To Golf Cart's
Unfortunately, the service guide does not show the location of the switch, but does show it as a part of the accessory harness. If the cart did not come with the accessory harness, then I would bet that it also does not have the switch installed. You will have to procure the pedal/switch and go from there......

Re: New To Golf Cart's
Thanks, think I'll look for other options before I buy a brake pedal assembly.

Re: New To Golf Cart's
Should be fairly easy to fab something up to make it work. Should just be NO switch and when pressed it chooses and lights light up.

Re: New To Golf Cart's
I've seen it done with a "pull-style" switch (as in for an ATV or early Motorcycle brake) - the switch mounts to the lower frame crossmember, then a small hole is drilled in the brake arm and a 8/32" bolt is put through it - a spring was then put between the bolt and the pull arm of the switch, therefore activating the switch at almost all lengths of pedal travel, but with the spring taking undue pressure off the switch ...
(hope that made sense the way I described it - should be able to be put together for $10-15 or so) |
