Default Anyone heard of a Sanyo golf cart?

Hoping to find someone who has run across a Sanyo golf cart before (model CR5ATS?). When we purchased it used a few weeks ago, it ran fine on the test, with a few quirks. Unfortunately there were no hills to test it on and it cannot make it up the hills near our home. We took it to a golf cart shop and they made it worse...now the engine dies and the engine misses which it was not doing before we took it in.

Here's what I'm trying to accomplish:
1. Has anyone ever had any experience with a Sanyo golf cart and if so where did you buy parts?
2. Is there a way to order a manual for a Sanyo?
3. Quirks: speed governor is electric...has anyone ever worked with one of these and is it dangerous to unplug it?
4. The cart doesn't roll in neutral...this is a problem if it won't start. Any advice?

Thanks for any input you might have! This may be over our heads and we may just have to sell it to someone who knows how to tinker...we are as handy as a snake in a box.

Well, after months of searching I've answered my own questions so just thought I'd post here in case anyone else has the same problem. This golf cart is a remote controlled golf cart. Yes, you can go hit your ball then bring the cart to you via remote. I can think of nothing lazier. The computer that works with the remote is what has caused all the problems so a great friend with smarts for motors was able to completely take out all the electronics and make the cart run like a simple, normal cart. It is fast and has great handling so we can't wait to cruise the lake after we paint it and add some seatbelts. Here's to great friends!

That's awesome you were able to get it going. I missed your original post or I would have helped search for answers. I have always enjoyed investigating the hard to find carts with little info.

Thats how they make vehicles today .... with a bunch of stuff you don't need. Just something else to tear up. Glad you found your problem and thanks for posting back. Not many people will do that.

I just purchased one of these carts did you ever figure out how to bypass the governor? And where to find a manual?

Did you find any manuals or anywhere to find parts? Anything at all?

Very nice work McPower! Looks good. Does the 4-link in the rear ride good?
