Default Can you use a marine battery?

Wondering if I can use a marine battery in my ezgo? Am running a stereo with a 4ch amp with a small subwoofer. And lights on cart. Will a marine battery work better for this or a regular car battery? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks..

you can run a deep cell marine battery for your 12v accessory's it will last longer than a car battery
some use a 12 v mower battery

I have a Interstate 24 series on my Yamaha and i haven't had any issues with lights, stereo, airhorn, Led's, etc. As long as your brushes are good and you are running it should be OK.

Biggest downside I've heard with the marine deep cell is they aren't as efficient and don't last as long when under constant recharge from the s/g. Maybe I've been led the wrong way, but it makes sense because they aren't typically set up for constant charge but for long use then charge and repeat.

My interstate runs about the same price as a deep cycle but obvious proven quality.

Fixed Anna and author, but as for brushes was referring to s/g brushes and driving cart periodically to charge.

I would say no. Just go with a good regular auto battery.
