You can ask tech questions. That's a primary purpose of the site. The moderators just want the tech questions confined to cart-specific forums so that information stays in the right places. Assuming you have a cart, find the forum associated with your cart and post all your tech questions there. The amount of knowledge a lot of these folks have is incredible.
