Default Cushman Hawk wheel pattern

What is the wheel pattern on the Cushman Hawk? It's five lugs and uses a standard lug nut. Just thinking about what non-cart wheels I could put on it.

I don't have an answer for you, but this might help you.
https://www.roadkillcustoms.com/whee...4x3.94-inches/

They show how to measure the bolt pattern. They also have quite a list of wheels from cars that will fit the common cart bolt patterns.

Hope this helps!

Looking forward to seeing your build!

Cushman, at least for my era 1987 Truckster used a wheel with a slightly different lug spacing than is commonly available for trailers and other small vehicles today. They look like they will fit, until you actually try to install them, and "True Cushman wheels", even very rusty ones, are becoming nearly impossible to find. My best suggestion is to buy some of the new trailer wheels of the same tire size and then have a machine shop drill the new lug pattern into them, locating this new pattern between the existing pattern. You will then have two sets of lug holes in each wheel, the original and the new ones that are on the Cushman wheel lug spacing. Then it will fit the Cushman as well as the trailers and small vehicles that it was made for. Since the outer dimension and shape of the wheels is identical to the Cushman it is no problem to find tires that fit and will work on either wheel. Be careful to look at the tire speed rating when you buy tires. Some are not rated for road speed use and you might have a safety inspection issue if you use these low speed tires.

I had one damaged wheel on my 87 Truckster and I was about to do this, but then found and bought another Truckster for parts. This got me the replacement wheel that I needed.

I believe it's 5 x 4.5". That's a very common pattern, but, as you say, I won't know for sure until I find a wheel to fit it. The good news is the hub comes off so I can take it with me to a wheel store.

Charley
This seems to be what the previous owner of my '96 Cushman Hawk did as each wheel has two sets of lug holes.
