Melex Steering box adjustment
Newbie to the golf cart world here! Just got an old Melex gas. A lot of play in the steering. Seems to be in the box under the dash. How can I adjust it to take out the "slack"/play?
Thanks, Kane in Tennessee |

Re: Melex Steering box adjustment
Hey Kane and welcome to Buggies Gone Wild ! I have an older Melex also, and it has alot of play in the steering as well. I looked closely and the gear itself has no play... all the play is in the tie rods and center shaft. However, I will check my gear for any kind of adjustment and let you know what I find... also, I may be changing out my entire front suspension I don't know yet, but if i do you will have first dibs on my old gear...p.s check out my pics.. ( very much a SLOW work in progress) Bob
